Data protection complaints
You have the right to raise a data protection complaint directly with us.
Email legal@daysium.com with the details of your concern, or write to us at Daysium, 1-3 La Colomberie, St. Helier, Jersey, JE2 4QB.
We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days of receipt, investigate without undue delay, and keep you updated on progress.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can escalate to the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner (JOIC) at jerseyoic.org, or, if you're based in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
What to include when you contact us
The more you can tell us at the start, the sooner we can look into it. Where you can, include:
- your name, and the email address linked to your Daysium account if you have one
- what happened, and roughly when
- which of your information you think is affected
- what you would like us to do
If you do not have all of that, send us what you have. We will come back to you if we need anything else.
Confirming who you are
A complaint about personal information means we may be discussing someone's private data, so we need to be confident we are dealing with the right person. If we have any doubt about who you are, we will ask you to confirm your identity, and we will tell you what we need at the time. We will only ask for what we genuinely need in order to be sure.
Complaining on someone else's behalf
You can raise a complaint for someone else — a family member, a client, or a person you act for professionally. We will ask for written evidence that you are authorised to act for them, such as a letter of authority signed by them or a power of attorney. We cannot look into the complaint until we have it.
What happens after you contact us
- We acknowledge your complaint within 30 days of receiving it.
- We look into it without undue delay, make whatever enquiries are needed, and keep you informed of progress.
- We tell you the outcome, and what we are doing as a result.
If we need anything further from you along the way, we will ask.
Raising it another way
Email is the quickest route, because legal@daysium.com reaches the people who deal with these directly. You do not have to use it, though. If you raise a data protection concern with us some other way — in a reply to someone at Daysium, or by post — we will treat it as a complaint and handle it in the same way.
If your complaint is not about your personal information
This page is about how Daysium has handled your personal information. If your complaint is about something else — billing, the way the platform works, or a conversation with someone here — email support@daysium.com and it will reach the right person.
