Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners to make their website work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.

We use cookies for several reasons. Some are required for technical reasons, so that an embedded feature such as the booking calendar works and is protected against automated abuse — we refer to these as "essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies. Others help us understand how the website is used so that we can improve it. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or to target you with advertising.

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies.

Our own website does not set cookies of its own. The cookies described below are set by the third-party services we embed in certain pages — the booking calendar, our enquiry and scorecard forms, and Google Analytics — and they are set when one of those features loads.

You can set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. The way you do that varies from browser to browser, so please visit your browser's help menu for details. If you refuse cookies you can still read the website, but the embedded booking calendar and forms may not work.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics specifically, on any site, using Google's own browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Some cookies are necessary for an embedded feature to operate correctly and securely — for example to keep a booking form working as you move through it, or to protect a form against automated abuse. These cookies cannot be switched off from within the feature, though you may be able to block them through your web browser. Doing so means those features will not work.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used — which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, and roughly where in the world they are. This tells us which parts of the site are useful and which are not. We use it for our own statistics; we do not use it for advertising, and Daysium does not run paid advertising campaigns.

Google Analytics sets cookies to recognise a returning browser so that one person visiting twice is not counted as two people. Information about your use of the site is shared with Google as the provider of that service.

Most of the cookies you will encounter on our website are set by third parties whose features are built into particular pages. We name them here so you know who they are and where you will meet them:

• Cal.com — the booking calendar. It appears on our audience pages and on the booking page, and it sets cookies to keep a booking session working and to protect the service against automated abuse. The booking calendar also loads Google Tag Manager and Intercom as part of that service.
• ScoreApp — our enquiry form and the tax residence risk score. It appears on the contact and risk-score pages, and uses hCaptcha to protect against automated abuse. Both set cookies for that purpose.
• Google Analytics — as described above.

These providers set their cookies against their own web addresses rather than ours, and each processes that information as described in its own privacy and cookie notices.

Cookies are not the only way to recognise or track visitors to a website. We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs"). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognise when someone has visited our website or opened an email including them. This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users from one page within a website to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to improve site performance, and to measure the success of email campaigns we have sent you. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.
